What did you do this summer? Well, Santiago Uceda spent a bit of his creating these illustrations inspired by the song “Cruel Summer” by the 80’s British babe brigade, Bananarama.
Uceda’s fantastical images twist summer tropes into villainous versions of leisurely beach day activities. Uceda’s dark sense of humor comes out in these phenomenally crafted and fully realized paintings— which can also be seen in pieces like Phobias II and The Existentialist Unicorn.
