About Jen Vaughn

Born and raised in the Lone Star State, Jennifer always knew that she wanted to do something creative with her life. She also knew from an early age that she wanted to explore the world outside of Texas. Eventually, she fulfilled both desires.

While attending a visual & performing arts high school in Dallas, Jennifer discovered her first real passion in life: photography. She spent several years working in the field, convinced that her goal was to someday become a famous fashion photographer. Then in 1993, fate led her to San Francisco, and everything started to change.

In San Francisco, Jennifer began working for an artist agency representing commercial illustrators. With some reluctance, she put her camera on the shelf and dove headfirst into the world of illustration. Ironically, she soon realized that she had become more passionate about illustration than she had ever been about photography.

After more than 9 years at Conrad Represents, Inc., Jennifer concluded that her true calling was to start her own business representing illustrators. In January 2003, Jennifer Vaughn Artist Agent was officially born.

Since embarking on this latest and greatest adventure, Jennifer has gathered a stable of award-winning artists who never cease to amaze her with their talents. Together, she and her artists have worked with some of the most notable advertising agencies, design firms, corporations and publishers in the U.S. and abroad. Her clients include United Airlines, Starbucks Coffee, Rolling Stone, US News & World Report, Harper Collins Publishers, Pentagram Design, Lady Foot Locker and Converse, just to name a few.

Aside from illustration, Jennifer loves red wine, cheese, chocolate and her 3-legged cats, Wilbur and Napoleon.
